I have finally gotten time to take some pictures of the entire completed army, I find it very satisfying to have it all arranged up on my table, feels great to see them all assembled.
What I've done is 6 regiments of foot, they are based for DBx so that each base is 60x30mm, and each unit consists of 3 bases of pike and 4 of shotte. They are made up to fit with the Field of Glory rules as this was the rules of choice in my club when everyone started with this project (and I think I'm the last one to finish...)
With the infantry I have 3 regiments of horse, one cuirassier regiment and two normal horse, one of that could be used as a harquebusier regiment, it is in reality just the normal cavalry with a few of the guns that comes with the them.
To this I have 2 cannons and 4 commanders to round of the force.
This I hope will be enough for some fairly sizable battles with the Pike & Shotte rules.
Untill I get some battles going, here are some pictures of the whole lot, enjoy!

Swedish Army all done
I'm done!
Well, not quite really, I've now completed the last two regiments for my Swedish army, and what do you know, it's still the day of Salute =)
The thing thats not complete is the basing on my final regiment, when I based the second to last I used up most of my basing material that I have used for the whole army, and I'm not that keen on doing it totally different from all the other regiments. I do have a little bit left, and I'm thinking of two possibilities, one that I get myself some more and wait for it until I can place the army in the "completed" shelf (where it will be quite alone...) or I mix the stuff I have left with something else to make it just a little different, but still looking like all the others. I haven't decided what to do yet. But until I do, here you can see some images of the last two regiments.
Next my plan is to get an army shot with all regiments nicely arranged, and then get them out on the field of battle!

Dystopian Wars
As I have a complete lack of the ability to stay on one thing at a time I got into painting some Dystopian Wars ships a few days back.
So, what I've done is gotten hold of a fleet box with Empire of the Blazing Sun ships, this is the Japanese faction in Dystopian wars and I find their train like ships really cool looking, they have a sleek, fast kind of feel and I like that. They also make extensive use of rockets, and who can say no to something like that ;)
What I've done so far is 3 Nakatsu class cruisers, they are many done as test models, the first one got quite a few layers of paint before I got to a formula that I think works. I like to have them some sort of believable in their colors but also have a nod towards the red and white of the Empires flag.
I'm still thinking about adding some sort of flag on the models, either the classical Japanese red dot, or some sort of simpler rendition of the Empires flag with the beams out from the sun. But as the models are kind of on the small side I'm not sure that something like that will yield a good result.
But enough talk, you came here for pictures, and you'll get it.
For those that's wondering how my Pike and Shotte is coming along, I can tell you that the next to last unit is almost complete, just missing some basework and flags, and the final unit is up on the painting table right now. Waiting for me to stop with this steampunk silliness and get going.
I'm still determined to have them completed before Salute ends.
